The concept, announcement and glossy websites look awesome however the fine print indicates this is capped at $1,000,000. So the government press release quotes the 247,000 small businesses who are the engine room of WA and then only funds their initiative to a maximum of 100 at $10,000 each.

Marketing plans, IT and communications strategy, workforce development and planning, people management, market research, financial planning and performance, supply chain management and planning, governance, OH&S, records and document management… but no capital purchases.

This initiative excludes accounting, bookkeeping and tax however it allows for strategic business planning and performance management. So if you want to work through a business planning project or implement reporting tools and metrics then we’d be happy to discuss further.

The cash pool on offer is relatively small which is disappointing given the glossy websites and announcements, however if your business has a plan in mind this may be a good opportunity to get government funding support.
